GRAND OPENING
More than 200 guests came to Stallburggasse on the occasion of the "Grand Opening" on 19 November, most notably Chancellor Brigitte Bierlein and United States Ambassador Trevor D. Traina.
Chancellor Bierlein appealed at the opening never to forget the common, but always to foreground the commonalities. Because: "Even though we may have different approaches in one way or another, our two countries have the same goals: to promote peace, security and prosperity"
Both Federal Chancellor and US ambassadors Bierlein and Traina emphasized the importance of the ÖAG: The opening ceremony is a visible sign of the "relaunch" of the association, which intends to act as a platform for discussions, information and events. Ambassador Traina described the ÖAG as an important pillar of bilateral engagement. The Federal Chancellor expressed her confidence that the activities of the ÖAG will continue to foster "friendship, inspiration and mutual understanding" in the future.
